Weather conditions over the St Patrick's Day weekend this year were very changeable. I drove to Bray at the crack of dawn on Sunday morning under a clear blue sky, but my return drive was in a torrential downpour. Later the same afternoon rides in the city centre were continuing to operate in light snow, though the Ferris Wheel had to be closed for a time due to high winds. In other words, an entirely normal weekend for Ireland.
